Climópolis has no user accounts and no forms. We use little data, only to run the site, measure visits and, when applicable, show ads.

What data is used
- Technical data about each visit (IP address, browser, page requested and time). Our hosting (DreamHost) and content delivery network (Cloudflare) log it to run the site and protect it from abuse. It is kept for a short time.
- Usage statistics with Google Analytics: which pages are visited, from which country and on what kind of device. It uses cookies. We do not use it to identify you.
- Advertising: when the site shows Google AdSense ads, Google and its partners may use cookies to choose ads based on your visits to this and other sites. You can manage this in Google's ad settings. More: how Google uses information from sites that use its services.
- Your browser stores a single preference of ours: whether you closed the "buy us a coffee" button, so it stays hidden for 14 days (Spanish pages only).
If you visit from the European Union, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, we will ask for your consent before using advertising cookies.
Links to other sites
Some links lead to travel services (hotels, tours, insurance). Those sites have their own privacy policies.
Your rights
You can ask us to access, correct or delete your data by writing to [email protected]. Since we keep almost no personal data, we will usually hold nothing that identifies you.
Climópolis is run from Argentina, under Personal Data Protection Law No. 25,326. The Agency for Access to Public Information, as the supervisory authority under that law, handles complaints from anyone whose data protection rights have been affected. If you live in the European Union you also have the rights granted by the GDPR (access, rectification, erasure, objection and portability), which you can exercise at the same address.
Children
The site is not aimed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect their data.
Changes
If we change this policy, we update the date above.
